Baby Padang is the forgiving alternative to its famous neighbor Padang Padang, sitting just 100m to the east.
Small, friendly waves break over seaweed-covered reef, creating a soft landing for less experienced surfers. Works best on higher tides when the reef is well-covered. The inside section offers waist-to-chest-high waves that are perfect for building confidence on reef breaks.
Best during dry season (April-October) with moderate SW swells. Higher tides are essential as the reef gets dangerously shallow at low tide. Morning sessions are cleanest before the afternoon onshores.
Same access as Padang Padang through the narrow cave opening in the cliff. Walk east along the reef at low tide or paddle from the main Padang channel.
