Batu Bolong is the epicenter of Canggu surf culture, a mellow wave in front of the famous Batu Bolong temple that draws longboarders from around the world.
A forgiving wave breaks over sand-covered reef, creating gentle faces perfect for longboarding and learning. Both lefts and rights work, with the right slightly longer. The inside section is gentle enough for beginners, while the outside has more push for intermediates.
Dry season (April-October) with moderate SW swells. Best at mid to high tide when the reef is covered. SE trade winds. Works year-round for small waves.
