Bingin is where many surfers score their first Bali barrel. This short, intense left breaks over shallow coral reef below the cliff-top warungs and budget accommodation.
A fast, hollow left that throws over shallow coral. The wave is short (50-80m) but incredibly intense, producing thick, square barrels that are surprisingly makeable. The takeoff is steep but the barrel opens up, giving riders time to set their line. Widely considered the easiest barrel in Bali.
Best at low to mid tide with 3-5ft SW swell. Dry season (April-October). Higher tides make it fat and sectiony. The wave needs the reef to be relatively shallow to barrel.
Steep cliff stairs from the Bingin cliff-top accommodation area. The stairs are well-maintained but steep.
