Halfway (or Halfway Kuta) is widely regarded as the best peak on the Kuta-Legian beach strip, producing waves that rival reef breaks when the sandbanks align.
A quality beach break with predominantly right-hand waves. When the sandbanks line up, Halfway produces hollow, barreling waves that are remarkable for a beach break. The wave has more power and shape than surrounding peaks.
Dry season (April-October) with solid SW swells at 3-5ft. Mid tide for the best shape. SE offshore winds. The banks change with the seasons, so it is not always on.
