Nelayan (meaning 'fisherman') is a reef break just south of Batu Bolong, offering a less crowded alternative to Canggu's main breaks.
A wave breaks over rock shelf, producing both lefts and rights. Less powerful than Echo Beach but more structured than the beach breaks. Also popular as a kitesurfing spot when the wind picks up.
Dry season (April-October) with moderate SW swells. Mid to high tide to cover the rock shelf. SE trade winds.
