The Bombie is Bali's answer to big-wave surfing - a deep-water reef break that only comes alive on the biggest swells of the year.
A powerful left breaks over deep coral reef when swells exceed 10ft. The wave is heavy and thick, with serious consequences for wipeouts. Only breaks a handful of times per year. When it does, it draws Bali's best big-wave surfers.
Only works on 10ft+ SW swells, which occur a few times per year during peak dry season. All tides work due to the depth. Light winds essential.
